Mikey
Mikey (aka Michelangelo) took 3rd place in the WB other than GA. I thought that was pretty good for an oldster like Mikey. He was born 4-21-2007.

Second Place - Pied class

RW’s Mira

Owner: Rebecca Ward | P-005 | Pied Agouti Female | Age: 2 years
Judges Comments:

Beautiful slender body type (a side picture on all fours would make her shape easier to evaluate), nice vibrant agouti color, pied collar is nice -- just a bit broken on one side, nice straight tail -- could use a little more tuft, head is nice and broad and blunt, nice small ears, great whiskers, pretty almond eyes.

Owner's Comments

Mira earned 3rd place back in 2007 with the comment that she needed to bulk up a bit and to bring her to a future show. :)

Outstanding Senior - Colorpoint class

RW's Rebecca's Evening Coco

Owner: Rebecca Ward | CP-005 | Siamese Female | Age: 2.75 years
Judges Comments:

This girl has a pretty head with nicely-shaped almond eyes. I love how her color darkens gradually and evenly from the top of her head to her nose. Her whiskers look nice and long! She does have the white under her nose and on her paws, but her nails are nice and dark. She looks like she has a pleasant, feminine build. My biggest concern is her tail. It looks like she either has lighter hair mixed with the dark hair, or her hair is thinning there. She is also not showing off her tuft in these pictures, which could be due to the angle.

Mid-Atlantic Show 2009

First Place - toilet paper tube chew

Bambi - a beautiful polar fox, shared first place with another gerbil in the toilet paper tube chewing contest. This was his first attempt in this class.

First Place - HamTrack Race, 4th Heat

Flower - a beautiful silver nutmeg spot made his first attempt in a hamtrack ball, and then once he figured out how to move the ball, took a powerful lead and ran for the finish line.

2nd Place Winner - spotted Class

RWG's Petunia

Owner: Rebecca Ward | #SP-007 | Spotted Black Female | 5 months
Judges Comments:

A nice feminine build with a good head; she should mature well. Nice rich black color with a lovely spotting pattern. It appears there is a slight bend in her tail about 1/4 back from her body, but it might just be reflection from the flash. Can't wait to see her next year!

Third Place Winner - Spotted Class

3rd Place Winner

RWG's Mira

Owner: Rebecca Ward |#SP-008 | Spotted Agouti Female | 4 months
Judges Comments:

This pretty little girl should grow up to a very nice show gerbil. Nice rich color, pretty spots, good straight tail and nice tuft. Lovely head and eye. Just help this girl add some muscle and mass and she'll be quite a contender next year.

RWG's Rebecca's Evening Coco

Owner: Rebecca Ward | #CP-004 | Burmese | Female | 10 months
Judge's Comments

Pretty Burmese color with a nice thick tail and adorable ears. Back appears to have a bit of a dip.

Owner's Comments

Coco didn't show well in this show, but in 2009 she got Outstanding Senior. That shows how different pictures show off better than others. In the 2009 pictures, it shows that there wasn't really a dip in her back. It was just the way the picture looked. :)

Owner: Rebecca Ward | #SP-004 | Spotted Dove Male | 10 months
Judges Comments:

This male seems to have a nice spotting pattern although his neck spot is not fully visible. Nice straight tail of excellent length and proportion. Keep putting bulk on this pretty fellow and try to get a clearer photo next time to show him off!

RWG's Lisa

Owner: Rebecca Ward | #M-004 | Mottled Burmese Female | 8 months
Judges Comments:

The angle of this gerbil in the side view makes her hard to see. Specifically, judges will look at the back (for a dip in the neck) and the hindquarters (for a weak rear), neither are shown clearly here. This is too bad, because from what can be seen, she is a beautiful, fully mature female with nice mottling/markings.

Judge's Comments

Nice coloring and deep ruby eyes. This male still needs to mature into a more masculine build including a stronger rear.

Judge's Comments:

Sweet, alert little pup with nice coat condition and color. Pied collar ever so slightly broken but very attractive markings. Good broad head and nice shaped eyes. Good body shape, should mature nicely.
