Information about adoptions

Typically, I charge between $6.00 and $12.00 for my pups.  I am willing to work out a deal for teachers looking to adopt a pair or trio for their classroom.  Contact me for special teacher pricing.  If you would like to reserve a pup by paying a reservation fee, please see the available pups page.  A reservation fee ensures that the pup you want will be held for you and will be considered as a pre-payment on the regular price of the pup.  However, if you do not pick up the pup, the fee is forfeit.

Right now, I do not have any available pups and I do not have any pairs that are breeding. Vincent passed away of old age early in 2008, so his mate Lauren is now living with her daughter Meg. Java and Gandalf are both healthy, but I feel that they have done enough and deserve a break. They are in side-by-side tanks, but are not able to reach each other.

Should I decide to put a pair together, I will announce it here. Right now, the most likely match up appears to be Elizabeth (a beautiful feisty Ivory Cream from Vincent's line) and Charlie Brown, a somewhat reserved slate and white from Gandalf's line.

Because I am considering breeding these two, I am keeping them and their current tank-mates as unavailable for adoption until I am sure whether or not to proceed. So, that means that Franklin, who resides with Charlie is unavailable; it also means that Isabelle and Beth are also unavailable because they are with Elizabeth. Meg is remaining with Lauren now that Vincent is gone.

I have several pairs that are preparing to do some time as class pets at my daughter's school. Amy is with Mary. Bambi and Flower are together. Aggie and Petunia (who did a tour last year) are looking forward to a return trip to classroom 25. Apollo and Hermes have been reserved for class 24. Mary Shelly and Marie Curie have been reserved for a fifth grade class. Of course, all classroom pets remain part of my gerbilry, and come home over all vacations and long weekends. I keep a very close eye on their health and well-being to make sure that the hectic life in a classroom isn't too active for their personalities. I have carefully chosen the pairs for their personalities and temperment. Gerbils that are too timid for classroom situations are never placed in such a location.
