Miss Peanut and Mikey have surprised me. In their last two litters, they had some pups that I thought were DEH or Lt. DEH or maybe Nutmeg. These pups turned out not to be these colors at all. At 8 weeks or so, these pups molted into Black Eyed Schimmels. Schimmels are one of the rarest gerbils colors available in the US. While I have broken this pair up, I am in the process of working out a new pairing to continue the Schimmel line. Right now, Schimmel pups will only be available to AGS registered breeders.
